Sadeghi Center for Plastic Surgery

On a vibrant commercial section of Metairie Road, the Sadeghi Center for Plastic Surgery is a new construction, mixed-use project conceived by local doctor Ali Sadeghi, M.D. and executed by practis. The space serves as a destination oasis for both spa treatments and medispa clinic needs alike.

The full project consists of an outpatient surgery center with two operating rooms, a lobby, a sterilization suite, three PACU beds, and a nursing station. Additional elements include a medispa clinic with a lobby, retail space, 11 exam rooms (shared with the surgery center), a laser room, private offices, and a staff break room as well as 1,415 square feet of white box commercial space for a future tenant. The site plan includes parking, landscaping, a covered dropoff, a monumental sign, and a discrete covered waiting area for after-surgery discharge.

A clean, fresh, modern façade at the street welcomes patients and clients, with a massing that fits into the small-scale neighborhood — varied rooflines, a restrained, whitewashed brick and stucco façade, and a white aluminum storefront.

The interiors of both the surgery center and medispa clinic are designed to create calm, open, luxurious space with increased height, textural materials in a simple palette, and accents of lighting and brightly-colored artwork. Custom casework includes the reception desks, retail shelving, and banquette seating. Private rear spaces follow the same aesthetic to reduce feelings of stress and avoid the appearance of a medical office. Playful furniture, light fixtures, and other accents give moments of freshness and whimsy, further elevating the experience.
